I have thoroughly tested this humidor out and it is fantastic! I tested it out with distilled water in the tray provided as well as with Boveda 320 Gram packs. Either method was easy to maintain the humidity of your preference - I like around 65%.
The temperature is spot on, I keep it at 65° now and it stays true.
This humidor states it is 250 count, which may be true for all Ro us to cigars or with some interesting stacking. I can get 200 mixed sizes and full boxes, which allows for air movement as well.
This unit is well made and solid. The Spanish cedar shelves are nice yet very lightweight. I will likely get another drawer to have more space for singles and such. The Spanish cedar drawer is made well and includes an accurate digital hygrometer, a huge improvement from the original humidor that had an analog hygrometer.
The light is nice but would be much better with lighting down the sides or back to light up the shelves and drawer and not just the top shelf. NewAir has fixed this with their newer, larger 840 count humidor and I assume it will become their standard.
The fan circulates the air well keeping the whole space in the temperature range you want. It also helps circulate the humidity so you don’t have wet and dry pockets in the humidor.
For added security, NewAir includes a nice lock on the front of the humidor door to keep your precious cargo safe and in your hands only!
Overall, I love this humidor! These types of humidors have been game changers and NewAir is leading the charge with this unit as well as a beautiful 840 count humidor that will be industry-standard for these types of units!
