As stated in the previous review, the Karami, E Preston Getter Cigars was founded by Kevin Getter, Sr. of Indianapolis, IN. Born and raised in Michigan City, IN, Kevin grew up in the projects with a strong desire to make a better life for himself and those around him. Joined the Army at 18, stationed in Germany, deployed to Kosovo, and to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003.
After the Army, Kevin moved to St. Louis, MO, enrolled in a Christian College, and started working in St. Louis. Shortly after he started driving trucks for a living, but discovered his mother had an illness back in Indiana and he wanted to be there for her. (great story here: his mother was diagnosed with a terminal illness, but fully recovered!) While back in Indiana, he joined a local Freemason Lodge and his brothers there had the privilege of introducing him to cigars! His new found love for the leaf led him to hopes, dreams, and later culmination, of his own cigar brand, E Preston Getter Cigars.
Kevin is an entrepreneur at heart including his own clothing line and some new projects on the horizon!

The Santsi is a Medium strength, USA made, 6 1/2 X 52 Torpedo, blended with a Nicaraguan Maduro wrapper, Dominican binder, and Nicaraguan and Dominican fillers. A solid triple cap was perfect for my Colibri Deep V Cutter (my preference on Torpedos and cigars with a solid cap).
The construction was nice with a deep brown leathery Maduro wrapper and nice firm, but not too firm, texture.
Upon cut, the cold draw was a nice milk chocolate and tobacco flavor. Good draw resistance as well.
Nice even light up with a perfect burn line throughout this entire cigar. Nice smoke output and good draw.
Into the first third, notes of creamy tobacco, light baking spices, leather, with mild black pepper lingering on the palate and through the retrohale.
The second third transitions nicely with the addition of light roast coffee, mild leather, and light citrus zest, along with the baking spices found in first third. Pepper drops off.
#Finalthird dons notes of mild leather, dark earth, and light citrus zest that lingers. Faint pepper comes back on the retrohale.
Nice flavor complexity that transitions well! Ash holds on solidly into the second third on this cigar! Could easily go longer, but I don’t usually have that kind of patience for long ash!
Overall I really enjoy the E Preston Getter - Santsi and have smoked a few of them so far. Great construction, good complexity and smoking characteristics were very good!
I ended up landing on the Final Third Cigar rating for the Santsi at 87. Solid start to a new brand that will only get better as his new blends are created and perfected.
