As stated in the previous reviews of their line, E Preston Getter Cigars was founded by Kevin Getter, Sr. of Indianapolis, IN. Born and raised in Michigan City, IN, Kevin grew up in the projects with a strong desire to make a better life for himself and those around him. Joined the Army at 18, stationed in Germany, deployed to Kosovo, and to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003.
After the Army, Kevin moved to St. Louis, MO, enrolled in a Christian College, and started working in St. Louis. Shortly after he started driving trucks for a living, but discovered his mother had an illness back in Indiana and he wanted to be there for her. (great story here: his mother was diagnosed with a terminal illness, but fully recovered!) While back in Indiana, he joined a local Freemason Lodge and his brothers there had the privilege of introducing him to cigars! His new found love for the leaf led him to hopes, and later culmination, of his own cigar brand, E Preston Getter Cigars.
Kevin is an entrepreneur at heart including his own clothing line! More projects are on the horizon too!

The Zinari is a 6 1/2 X 60 Mild to Medium Gordo, made in the USA, blended with a Natural Nicaraguan wrapper, Dominican binder, and fillers from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic.
Beautiful tan wrapper, very nice construction, great texture with no soft spots, and a solid triple cap perfect for the Colibri Deep V Cutter.
Cold draw is creamy milk chocolate and hay (barnyard). Lots of flavor in the cold draw.
Upon light, the Zinari had a good burn line that ended up a little uneven toward the end of the final third, likely due to the larger ring gauge. Perfect draw and billowing smoke!
Flavor notes started off in the first third with mild leather, creamy light wood, faint caramel, and a smooth creamy retrohale.
Second third was similar, with creamy leather, light caramel, wood, and smooth retrohale and a hint of citrus zest.
Into the #finalthird I was getting similar notes of creamy leather, light wood and a faint lingering caramel with hints of pepper on the retrohale.
The Zinari has nice flavors and good transitions, mild throughout that ticks up to a medium in the final third.
Me and the man himself, Kevin Getter with E Preston Getter Cigars on the night we met and I was introduced to his cigar line and a great group of new friends!
For someone who doesn’t typically lean toward the 60 ring gauge, I was impressed with the construction and flavors coming off of this cigar!
In the end I gave the E Preston Getter Cigars - Zinari a solid Final Third Cigar rating of 87. I would love to see this blend in a smaller ring gauge as I would wager that would be a fantastic cigar!
