The Carlos Torano - Reserva Decadencia is a Mild Honduran made cigar blended with a Connecticut wrapper, Indonesian binder, and fillers from the Dominican Republic, Honduras and Nicaragua. I received the 5 X 50 Robusto that was topped off with a solid triple cap, perfect for the Deep V Cut!

This cigar comes housed in a glass tube for protection and display!

Solid construction and texture, with some minor imperfections on the wrapper - fairly common on Connecticut wrapped cigars!

Upon cut, the cold draw was sweet cocoa and a hint of vanilla. Perfect draw resistance.

Nice even light up with billowing smoke output! Ash fell off in 1” chunks. One large burn touch-up at the end of the second third.

Into the flavor notes, the first third has notes of creamy caramel, light roast coffee bitterness, with a hint of citrus zest lingering on the palate. Rich mocha coffee on the retrohale.

Second third continues with the light roast coffee and citrus zest with the addition of pecan and mild cedar. Retrohale still has the note of mocha coffee.

The #finalthird has notes of cedar, bitter coffee, pecan, with a faint hint of cocoa, and transitions a bit with the addition of earth, along with pepper on the tongue and through the retrohale.

Nice complexity in this Connecticut! I’ve been impressed with Connecticuts I have smoked lately, and this one is no exception!

The burn line started becoming uneven in the middle of the second third, and after a burn touch-up it burned well down to the nub.

I thoroughly enjoyed this cigar!

I gave the Carlos Torano - Reserva Decadencia a Final Third Cigar rating of 91. The flavor complexity and smoking characteristics (minus the one burn touch up) are the driving factors for the enjoyment of this cigar and for the rating!
