The Lady Killer is a cigar made by Robert Holt of Southern Draw Cigars for the Privada Cigar Club and for sale through shops and lounges who are members of the LCA. The LCA is an organization working with a maximum of 300 small shops and lounges around the USA to bring Privada Cigar Club exclusive cigars to the community through local brick and mortars like The Smoke Pit in Greenwood, IN. This August 2021 release cigar is only available through the LCA member lounges and shops.

The Southern Draw Lady Killer is a Full Body cigar from Nicaragua blended utilizing an Ecuadorian Dark Habano wrapper, a Nicaraguan Corojo 98 Hybrid binder, and Nicaraguan fillers of Criollo 98 Viso from Esteli, Seco from Jalapa, Ligero from Contega.
This release is a 6 1/2 X 46 Lonsdale, a perfect size for my taste.
Construction on this cigar is perfect with a beautiful dark brown wrapper, nice texture and solid double cap good for any cut!
The aroma on the foot is a sweet barnyard. Cold draw offers notes of hay and cocoa.
Upon light up, a perfect burn line and billowing smoke develop. Absolutely perfect draw for me. The word perfect will have a theme with this cigar.
Getting into the flavors, the first third begins with notes of leather, earth, cumin, toasted caramel, and espresso, with black pepper lingering a bit on the tongue. Solid start!
The second third transitions nicely with notes of cedar, leather, coffee, chestnut, fresh mint, and toast, with white and black pepper dancing on the tongue and through the retrohale.
The final third continues to impress with notes of espresso, leather, moss, and toasted caramel with the fresh mint moving to the finish and retrohale along with black pepper.
This fresh mint note has a nice effect of leaving your palate feeling clean. A nice note I have noticed a few times and enjoyed…and I do not like most mint flavors.
This cigar has one of my favorite all-time flavor profiles punching many of the buttons that get me excited about a cigar!
Perfect smoking characteristics with a great draw, billowing smoke, and a perfect burn line. The combustion on this cigar was top notch - I could sit this cigar down for a few minutes and it stayed lit perfectly! There’s that word again…
In the end, I gave this Southern Draw Lady Killer an incredible Final Third Cigar rating of 97.5. One of the best cigars I have smoked this year, definitely in my top five!
