The Room 101 Murder Hornet is a cigar made by Matt Booth for the Privada Cigar Club and for sale through shops and lounges who are members of the LCA. The LCA is an organization working with a maximum of 300 small shops and lounges around the USA to bring Privada Cigar Club exclusive cigars to the community through local brick and mortars like The Smoke Pit in Greenwood, IN. This July 2021 release cigar is only available through the LCA member lounges and shops.

The Room 101 Murder Hornet is a Honduran Puro blended by Matt Booth and comes from Raices Farms. A medium-bodied cigar that comes in a 5 1/2 X 42 “short” Lonsdale. Blended utilizing Criollo, Corojo, and Habano tobaccos in an undisclosed blend.

This cigar has fantastic construction with a solid triple cap perfect for any cut you choose. I have used both straight and deep V and both were perfect.

The cold draw was a nice graham cracker.

Upon light up, the first third has notes of cedar, graham cracker, brazil nut, with faint pepper lingering on the tongue.

The second third transitions nicely with the same cedar with the addition of toast, baking spices, and nut with light pepper dancing on the palate and through the retrohale.

The final third continues with a nice cedar note, buttered toast, cinnamon spice, walnut, with faint pepper, and baking spices on the retrohale.

This cigar is super smooth with tons of smoke and a perfect burn line. Scored a perfect rating in the smoking characteristics category.

I really enjoy the Murder Hornet, such a good cigar for any time of the day and pairs well with coffee, bourbon, or even tea and sodas.

This has been one of my top LCA releases to date, definitely top 3 or 4!!

In the end I gave the Room 101 Murder Hornet a Final Third Cigar rating of 94! Other than the 10th and 11th Anniversary Room 101 releases, this is my favorite!

This cigar is available at participating LCA shops on July 2nd, 2021!
