AJ Fernandez San Lotano CT Cigar Review:
This cigar is a beautifully constructed Connecticut blend consisting of a Nicaraguan and Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, Nicaraguan binder, Nicaraguan, Honduran and Dominican fillers. A perfect triple cap - I used the Colibri Deep V Cut that was the perfect cut for this cigar. A beautiful band to catch the eye and cap this cigar off!
Nice even light up and burn line at light up. Great smoke output and a perfect draw.
First third began with a creamy and nutty flavor with a nice mild lingering red pepper spice. Perfect burn and a solid ash!
Second third ash fell and I had a burn touch up to get the small canoeing affect to level out. Flavors are still creamy and nutty with a very faint spice that lingered.
#finalthird had one more small burn touch up, but nothing that concerns me. Flavors are a roasted nutty creaminess with a hint of spice toward the end of each puff. Flavors have nice staying power too which is nice.
I am not usually a Connecticut fan, but the San Lotano CT was a nice change of pace with a bit of spice to keep me engaged. I paired this with some sweet iced tea that was a really nice combo! This would go great with coffee too!
I rated the San Lotano CT a solid 90. This is a great mild strength cigar that has nice flavor if you enjoy creaminess that is not sweet with a touch of spice on the palette. Another great blend by AJ Fernandez that is sure to please any palette!
