From the Alec Bradley website:

Fine & Rare is an ever evolving project. It is a concept more than a cigar. Fine & Rare has been seen in many different formats since the project began. I play with different tobaccos and different crop years to create this 10 leaf masterpiece. I always need to let the blend dictate the size and shape of Fine & Rare in any given year. For 2018, Alec Bradley is proud to present 2500 boxes of the second iteration of Fine & Rare JRS10 = (86). A special cigar to share with friends and family- or to find that special moment for yourself to escape.

This 2019 release of the exquisite Fine and Rare cigar is a 10 tobacco masterpiece blended using a Honduran Trojes wrapper, with a blend of Honduran and Nicaraguan binder and fillers.

This release is a 6 1/4 x 54 Box-Pressed Toro, a medium to full body cigar with perfect appearance and construction, donning a solid triple cap perfect for the Colibri Deep V cutter!

Alec Bradley is not a typical go-to for me, but I will admit, after Gator from The Cigar Pulpit Podcast gushed all over this cigar, it piqued my interest. And it did not disappoint!

The aroma on the foot is a nice chocolate while the cold draw has notes of graham cracker and hay.

Getting into the flavor notes, the first third kicked off with notes of Oak, baking spices, graham cracker, and toasted wheat, with red and black pepper spice dancing on the tongue well after each puff.

The second third transitioned nicely with the baking spice notes still present with an addition of buttered wheat toast, sweet citrus, and caramel, with red and black pepper lingering on the tongue and through the retrohale.

The final third continues to impress with notes of coffee, caramel, citrus, oak, nutmeg, with red and black pepper remaining on the tongue and retrohale well after taking each puff.

Super complex Cigar with near-perfect smoking characteristics - had to touch up the burn line a couple times, the only minor flaw I could find in this cigar. Perfect Draw and Smoke Output throughout.

In the end, I gave the Alec Bradley Fine and Rare HOF 506 2019 Release a Final Third Cigar rating of 96! If you can find one, even at this higher price point (mid-20’s), do yourself a favor and smoke one! It was a joy smoking this cigar, a solid 2 hour smoke for me!

You can find this cigar at The Rivermen Cigar Company, and many other fine retailers while supplies last. Gator and I almost cleaned Dan out last weekend of his remaining balance of Fine and Rare releases!
