The Rook was an amazing cigar with tons of flavor transitions and great smoking characteristics, As my reviews had shown, I am really digging these Blackbird Cigars! More to come and definitely going to be in my normal rotation!

Blackbird Cigar Co. - Rook Cigar Review:
The Rook is a Dominican made Mild to Medium strength cigar blended with a Colorado Sumatra wrapper, Habano binder with Nicaraguan and Dominican fillers. I smoked the 5 X 50 Robusto which had a triple cap! I used the Colibri Deep V Cut and it was perfect for this construction!
The wrapper had a few flaws but it didn’t affect the cigar whatsoever. Nice draw, good smoke output and razor sharp burn line all the way through the final third.
For a mild to medium cigar, the Rook had an amazing amount of body and flavor!
First third had notes of creamy sweet nougat, Brazil nut, and a hint of white pepper lingered on the palette.
Second third continued with creamy nougat and Brazil nut with an addition of nutmeg on the finish.
#finalthird had a roasted Niigata and nut with a nice addition of black and red pepper lingering in the palette and a bit of nutmeg. Very long flavor finish!
The Rook had a perfect score in the smoking characteristics category! Flavors were very complex and had me seeking the memory bank to nail them down. Flavor are subjective, but the transitions in this cigar were fantastic!
With all of that said, I gave the Blackbird Cigar Co. - Rook a solid Final Third Cigar rating of 92.5.
I typically go to the stronger cigars because I like the flavors that come through, however, the Rook had all the complexity in flavors that had me contemplating each note in every puff! Began as a mild cigar with an uptick to medium in the final third. Such an enjoyable smoke!
