Blowing Smoke Cigar Company - Habano Full Body

Blowing Smoke Cigar Company - Habano Full Body Cigar Review:

The Habano Full Body is a medium to full strength cigar consisting of a Habano 2000 wrapper, Habano Vuelta Abajo binder, and Cuban seed Tobacco from Nicaragua and Dominican Republic, as well as tobacco from the DR for a nice combination of fillers.

I smoked the 6 X 60 Gordo and used the Colibri Deep V Cut.
Wrapper was a little rough and bumpy, but texture seemed to be pretty good prior to cut. Wrapper had many noticeable veins, which contributed to the bumpy roll. Not bad, just noticeable.

Cold draw is light tobacco and a creamy caramel. Easy open draw.

Light up was a bit wavy, possibly due to the 60 ring gauge, but it evened out a bit at about an inch. No early burn touch up, I just let it catch up on its own!

First third was spicy and nutty. Red pepper that lingered on the palette. A bit of rich leather and wood too.

Second third spice tails off a bit but still present on the palette as each puff lingered. Woody and nutty with a long leather finish. Ash held on onto that stage, albeit a bit flaky.

#finalthird spice is back, combination of red pepper and baking spices. Earth becomes present along with a roasted nut and leather finish.

This is a cigar I would like to revisit in a Robusto or Toro size as I think a more balanced wrapper flavor and smaller ring construction would take this up a few points. Also would help with smoke output in each puff. Still a good cigar at this 6 X 60 size though.

Good smoke output although had to double puff a few times to get that thick rich smoke.
I enjoyed this cigar, had enough complexity to keep me seeking the flavor shifts.

I gave the Blowing Smoke Cigar Co - Habano Full Body a Final Third Cigar rating of 83. Again, I feel a few more points could be earned in a smaller ring gauge and would love to review a Robusto or Toro in the future.
