Southern Draw Cedrus Cigar Review:

The Southern Draw Cedrus, manufactured by AJ Fernandez, is a full strength Nicaraguan cigar consisting of a beautiful Indonesian Sumatra wrapper, Nicaraguan Habano binder and fillers of Nicaraguan Corojo and Criollo, and Dominican Piloto Ligero tobacco. This cigar is a box-pressed Belicoso vitola, 5 1/2 x 52. A nice triple cap, I used the Colibri Deep V Cut which I like for the Belicoso and Torpedo shapes.

I smoked the Cedrus with a cup of hot tea, and this cigar would pair well with coffee, whiskey, an imperial stout, or any dark drink of your choosing.
First third started off with a bang, boasting flavors of red and black pepper, deep cedar, black walnut, and a slightly bitter herbal component. Very complex flavors from the very beginning!

Second third stays true to the same flavors, with more black pepper than red. Holding the cedar, black walnut and herbal flavors strong.

Final third has the same flavors with a bit more roasted black walnut and spice. Strength is at full throughout!

The Cedrus has a nice straight burn line, no burn touch ups, solid ash, and thick smoke output the entire length of the cigar. Strong and spicy!

I give the Southern Draw Cedrus a Final Third Cigar rating of 91. A very enjoyable full bodied and full flavored cigar that had me wanting more as I got down to the nub.

True to the Southern Draw blends, the Cedrus is a solid smoke that has bold flavors for the passionate cigar connoisseur who likes a full bodied deep rich complex cigar! Give it a try if this is you!
